Jon Cocking

As acting Director of Human Resources, Jon has overall responsibility for the HR function which support Land Registry, operating within the parameters set by wider civil service policy. In addition, he is also responsible for corporate facilities (which includes central facilities management, property asset management, & business continuity), and, Performance and Innovation (P&I).

Jon is the chair of the People Committee.

As a member of the Land Registry Board and a Director of the business Jon has shared responsibility for leading and managing the business and for supporting the Chief Executive as Accounting Officer for the Department.

Jon is also the Land Registry Board Champion for working patterns.

Jon is responsible for the following groups:

Organisation Design
Organisation Development
Corporate Facilities and Property Asset Management

Jon graduated with a degree in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester and completed his post graduate studies in Human Resources at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, in 2001. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).

He joined Land Registry in 2006, initially as Head of HR Service Centre, and then Head of HR Services, having spent the previous 8 years in the NHS.
