Tribunal Judge Retirement - Mather

Upper Tribunal Judge Christopher Paul Mather retired with effect from 23 October 2013.

Upper Tribunal Judge Mather (66) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1973. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1989, an Assistant Recorder in 1991, a Recorder in 1996, a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1997 and a full time Immigration Adjudicator in 2000. He was appointed a Legal Member of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal in 2000 and Vice-President of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal in 2003 (now known as Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber). He was appointed Legal Member of the Special Immigration Appeal Appeals Commission in 2005.
