Permission
You can only conduct commercial filming or photography with prior permission from the operator Serco Docklands. This is regardless of subject matter, equipment to be used or size of crew.
Costs
Our filming/photography location fee is £250, plus VAT, per hour. You must pay in full before you start filming.
There's a minimum booking requirement of two hours for each session. After that charges are on a sliding scale, depending on the number of crew and cast involved.
We can usually arrange filming and photography for any day of the week, depending on the size of your crew and the facilities required.
Some busier stations may not be available during peak periods. Weekends are more flexible and you can usually film at any time of day.
Insurance
All bookings must be supported by a copy of your:
- Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million
- Method Statement
- Risk Assessment
Bookings are not confirmed until a contract has been agreed and signed by all parties.
Notice period
We require a minimum of four weeks notice to agree and set up an average-sized filming or photography shoot. We may be able to arrange it more quickly, if necessary.
Supervision
Serco Docklands will usually need to supervise filming. We can provide additional crowd control staff.
All members of your party will need to receive a safety briefing before starting work on DLR.
