The wildlife benefits of ride management in woodland

Rides are access tracks or paths through woodland, which require management to maintain. Jon Rau from the Forestry Commission explores why rides are so important for biodiversity, and the many ways in which they can be improved for wildlife. Jon describes the practical elements of ride management in a complementary video: Filmed on location at Bentley Wood, by kind permission of the Trustees of Bentley Wood. In association with Out There Films. Directed by Eleanor Tew, Forestry Commission.
