Students: Apply early for university funding

Student Finance England is calling on aspiring students to apply for funding as soon as possible, with applications for the academic year 2015/16 now open.

06 March 2015

Derek Ross, Director of Operations at the Student Loans Company (SLC) said: “There is a range of finance available to help with university costs, including tuition fee loans and maintenance loans and grants, to help with your living costs while you’re studying.

“It’s best to apply as early as possible to get everything in place and start budgeting.

“You do not need a confirmed university place to apply for funding – you can use your preferred choice of course and update it online later, if needed.”

SLC produces a range of quick guides for students and parents those considering going to university in 2015-16, available from www.thestudentroom.co.uk/studentfinance and answers student queries via social media. Visit facebook.com/SFEngland and twitter.com/sf_england
