Welsh part-time students are being urged to apply now for student finance.
For the first time students who started their courses on 1 September 2014 or later will be able to apply online for both their Tuition Fee Loan and their Course Grant at www.studentfinancewales.co.uk.
Continuing students who started their course before 1 September 2014 will be able to apply on paper from early July.
SLC Executive Director Operations, Derek Ross, advised students to act quickly to ensure their funding is in place before their next term begins. He said:
“We recommend that students get their applications in as early as possible to make sure their finances are organised before their next term begins. For those who are eligible to apply online it’s quicker and easier than ever before.
“There are plenty of resources available to help explain to students what funding is available and how to apply. All the latest factsheets, films, and quick guides can be found on www.studentfinancewales.co.uk and students are also advised to follow SFW at facebook.com/SFWales or twitter.com/SF_Wales to keep up with all the latest news alerts."
Cynghori myfyrwyr Cymru i wneud cais nawr am gyllid myfyrwyr rhan-amser
Mae myfyrwyr rhan-amser o Gymru’n cael eu hannog i wneud cais am gyllid myfyrwyr nawr.
Am y tro cyntaf, bydd modd i fyfyrwyr a ddechreuodd ar eu cyrsiau ar 1 Medi 2014, neu wedi hynny, wneud cais ar lein am eu Benthyciad Ffi Dysgu a’u Grant Cwrs ar www.cyllidmyfyrwyrcymru.co.uk.
Bydd modd i fyfyrwyr a ddechreuodd ar eu cwrs cyn 1 Medi 2014 wneud cais ar bapur o ddechrau mis Gorffennaf ymlaen.
Cynghorwyd myfyrwyr gan Gyfarwyddwr Gweithredol Cwmni Benthyciadau Myfyrwyr (SLC), Derek Ross, i weithredu’n gyflym er mwyn sicrhau fod eu cyllid yn ei le cyn i’r tymor nesaf ddechrau. Meddai ef:
‘Rydym ni’n argymell fod myfyrwyr yn cyflwyno’u ceisiadau ar y cyfle cyntaf er mwyn sicrhau fod eu cyllid wedi’i drefnu cyn i'w dymor nesaf yn dechrau. Mae hi’n haws ac yn fwy cyflym nag erioed gwneud cais ar lein os ydych chi’n gymwys i wneud hynny.’
Mae digon o adnoddau ar gael i helpu i esbonio i fyfyrwyr ynglŷn â pha gyllid sydd ar gael a sut i wneud cais amdano. Gellir dod o hyd i’r holl daflenni gwybodaeth, ffilmiau a chanllawiau cyflym diweddaraf ar www.cyllidmyfyrwyrcymru.co.uk, a chynghorir myfyrwyr i ddilyn CMC hefyd ar facebook.com/SFWales neu twitter.com/SF_Wales i gadw llygad ar yr holl newyddion diweddaraf.
