Embrapa, the £400M agribusiness research arm of the Brazilian government, will establish a UK base at Rothamsted Research, as part of its international Labex programme.
This will promote interactions between Brazilian and UK scientists and links with Labex partners in France, the Netherlands, the USA and African countries. The main focus at Rothamstad Research will be on molecular interactions of plants with pathogens and insects
