DFID Independent Expert Advisory Group Recruitment

03/10/2016

The Department for International Development (DFID) are currently recruiting new members of their Research Advisory Group (RAG).

The provision of independent scientific advice by the RAG assists DFID to assure the quality and appropriateness of Research and Evidence Division’s research portfolio for DFID’s objectives. The RAG provides important strategic thought leadership to DFID, helping us to shape their research portfolio, engage with the wider international scientific and research community, private sector and the global development community. The Group also provides a critical expert challenge function, ensuring that DFID continues to fund research that has development impact and helps to strengthen the global evidence base of what interventions work and in which contexts.

The current RAG membership consists of 12 senior international academics, and is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz.

All details on the application process, job description and relevant background information can be found on the DFID website: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-international-development/about/research#dfid-research-advisory-group-rag-member-vacancies

The closing date is 5pm GMT on 31st October 2016. All applications should be sent to RAGRotation2016@dfid.gov.uk.
