The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Collective Fund is currently inviting applications for strategic programmes to grow research capability to meet the challenges faced by developing countries.
On Wednesday 28th September RCUK is holding a twitter chat from 2.00pm till 3.00pm giving academics and research managers the opportunity to talk to the programme team about the ‘Growing Research Capability to Meet the Challenges Faced by Developing Countries’ Call.
You can follow the conversation on the day via Twitter using the hashtag #GCRF and following Research Councils UK twitter account @research_uk. If you are not an active twitter user you can still follow the conversation online www.twitter.com/#gcrf and email communications@rcuk.ac.uk with your questions using the subject ‘live GCRF twitter chat’ please make it clear in your email if you would like to remain anonymous.
The twitter chat will be a forum for the academic community to ask questions or clarify any details surrounding the ‘Growing Research Capability to Meet the Challenges Faced by Developing Countries’ Call’.
We would also hope that the chat can act as a forum for academics to find other interested in similar themes or topics which could develop into an application.
Applications are expected at an institutional/organisational or small consortia level with individual organisations permitted to lead on no more than two applications each. Submissions should be co-ordinated centrally by research organisations via their research offices or equivalent.
In order to be eligible to submit a full proposal applicants must register their intention to submit via filling in the smart survey form by 16.00 on 25 October 2016.
