District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) Appointment - Jones

The Queen has appointed Gwyn Jones to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned him to the Wales Circuit, based in North Wales, with effect from Monday 11 November 2013.

Notes to editors

Gwyn Jones, 53, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Jones. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1984. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2000.
