Appointment of President of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales) - Doyle

The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP, has appointed Dr Brian John Doyle to be President of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales) with effect from 1 April 2014.

Dr Brian John Doyle, aged 59, will be known as Judge Doyle. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1977. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Chairman of the Employment Tribunals in 1994, becoming a Salaried Chairman in 2000, and then appointed as Regional Employment Judge in 2003. He was also appointed as Legal Chairman of the Reserve Forces Appeal Tribunal in 2003 and of the Reinstatement Committees and Umpires Tribunal in 2010.
