Appointment of a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber – Fyall

The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP, has appointed Carolyn Fyall to be a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber, to exercise the Social Security and Child Support jurisdiction within that Chamber, based at Manchester.

She will take up post with effect from Monday 28 July 2014.

Notes to editors

Carolyn Fyall, aged 42, will be known as Tribunal Judge Fyall. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1995. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Legal Panel Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2007, becoming a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health), in 2008 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber (Social Security and Child Support), in 2013.
