Appointment of a District Judge: Harris-Short

The Queen has appointed Sonia Ruth Harris-Short to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Stafford Combined Court Centre and Derby Combined Court Centre with effect from 1 May 2014.

Sonia Ruth Harris-Short, aged 39, will be known as District Judge Harris-Short. She was called to the Bar in 1998.She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
