Appointment of a Circuit Judge: Canavan
The Queen has appointed Sheelagh Mary Canavan to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.
The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Snaresbrook Crown Court with effect from 17 March 2014.

Sheelagh Mary Canavan, aged 49, will be known as Her Honour Judge Canavan. She was called to the Bar (L) in 1987. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2009.
