District Judge David John Owen retires from the District Bench with effect from 1 January 2014.

District Judge Owen (62) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1976. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1990, a District Judge in 1993 and a Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2007 (now known as Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal (Health Education and Social Care Chamber)). He was appointed Nominated Judge of the Court of Protection in 2007.
