District Judge Appointment - Pema

The Queen has appointed Anes Bhumin Laloo Pema (known as Anesh Pema) to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Leeds Combined Court Centre and Halifax County Court with effect from 14 November 2013.

Notes to editors

Anesh Pema, aged 41, will be known as District Judge Pema. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1994. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
