District Judge Appointment - Benson

The Queen has appointed Mark David Benson to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned him to the Northern Circuit, based at Bury County Court, with effect from 13 January 2014.

Notes to editors

Mark David Benson, 57, will be known as District Judge Benson. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1985. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1997.
