High Court - Retirement of The Honourable Sir Brian Richard Keith

The Honourable Sir Brian Richard Keith retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) with effect from 15 April 2014.

Sir Brian Keith (70) was called to the Bar (I) in 1968, elected as a Bencher in 1996 and took Silk in 1989. He was appointed to the Hong Kong High Court Bench in 1991 and to the Hong Kong Court of Appeal in 1999. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1988 and a Recorder in 1993. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2001, Legal Member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission and Judge of the Employment Appeal Tribunal in 2002, and Judge by Request of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum) in 2011. He was the Chairman of the Zahid Mubarek Inquiry.
