His Honour Judge Stephen Robert Powles QC retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 8 April 2014.

His Honour Judge Powles QC (65) was called to the Bar (M) in 1972 and took silk in 1995. He was appointed a Recorder in 1994 and a Circuit Judge in 2005. He became a Member of the Civil Mediation Council in 2002 and a Member of the Parole Board in 2006.
