Appointment of a District Judge: McKinnell

The Queen has appointed Soraya Jane McKinnell to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton County Court with effect from 2 June 2014.

Notes to editors

Soraya Jane McKinnell, aged 45, will be known as District Judge McKinnell. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1991. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
