Appointment of a Circuit Judge: Newbery

The Queen has appointed Freya Patricia Newbery to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Harrow Crown Court, with effect from 7 May 2014.

Notes to editors

Freya Patricia Newbery, aged 49, will be known as Her Honour Judge Newbery. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1986. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2004.
