Appointment of a Circuit Judge: Sherwin

The Queen has appointed Deborah Ann Sherwin to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Law Courts with effect from 8 April 2014.

Notes to editors

Deborah Ann Sherwin, aged 57, will be known as Her Honour Judge Sherwin. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1979. She was appointed as a Recorder in 1995.
