New Vice-President of the Queen’s Bench Division appointed

Lord Justice Davis has been appointed as Vice-President of the Queen’s Bench Division by the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, following consultation with the Lord Chancellor, with effect from 4 March.

Biography

The Rt Hon Sir Nigel Anthony Lamert Davis was called to the Bar (L) in 1975. In 1992 he became a QC and was appointed as a Recorder of the Crown Court in 1998. He became a High Court Judge, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division, in October 2001 and was Presiding Judge on the Wales Circuit from 2006 to 2009. He was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal in October 2011.
