Mark Boyle
Mark Boyle is the independent Non-Executive Chair of the Land Registry Board, a role he fulfils in a private capacity. This involves chairing all LR Board meetings, at which Land Registry's overall strategy is discussed and agreed, ensuring proper governance practices are followed and performance is effectively monitored and working with the Chief Land Registrar and Chief Executive in driving the development of the organisation.
Up until September 2013 Mark was also Director and Chief Operating Officer at the Shareholder Executive, the specialist team based in the Department of Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) that looks after a portfolio of Government-owned businesses ranging from the Royal Mail to Ordnance Survey.
Before this he spent 12 years in senior commercial and corporate development roles with two major FTSE companies, Compass Group and Rentokil Initial. The first 15 years of his career was spent in banking with Lloyds Bank International and Kleinwort Benson.
Mark is 53 years old and married with two children. He lives in Kew, south-west London and enjoys golf, tennis and classical music.
