Governance

Land Registry's governance, public accountability and strategic and day-to-day management are the responsibility of its two top management boards.

Land Registry Board

The Land Registry Board (LRB) was established in April 2006 and is separately constituted from the Executive Board (EXB) which is led by the Chief Land Registrar and Chief Executive. The remit of the LRB is primarily supervisory, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of Land Registry residing with the EXB.

Executive Board

The Executive Board (EXB) was established in April 2006, replacing the Land Registry Directing Board. It is separately constituted from the Land Registry Board (LRB), which is led by the Non-Executive Chair.

The Executive Board's purpose is to deliver Land Registry's annual business plan and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Land Registry.
