The Honourable Sir Richard Henriques retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) with effect from 28 October 2013.

Sir Richard Henriques (70) was called to the Bar (I) in 1967, elected as a Bencher in 1994 and took Silk in 1986. He was appointed a Recorder in 1983, a member of the General Council of the Bar from 1993 to 1998, a member of the Criminal Justice Liaison Committee from 1993 to 1995 and Northern Circuit Executive Committee from 1993 to 1998. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2000, Presiding Judge of the Northern Circuit from 2001 to 2004, and a Member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission in 2006.
