Appointment of a High Court Judge – Green

The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Nicholas Nigel Green, Esquire, Q.C., to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 1 October 2013 on the retirement of Mr. Justice Mackay.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Mr. Green to the Queen’s Bench Division.

Notes for editors

Mr. Green, 54, was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 1986 and took Silk in 1998. He was appointed a Recorder in 2004 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge.
