Circuit Judge Appointment - Rylands

The Queen has appointed Margaret Elizabeth Rylands to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned her to the Western Circuit, based at Exeter Combined Court Centre with effect from 2 December 2013.

Notes to editors

Margaret Elizabeth Rylands, aged 62, will be known as Her Honour Judge Rylands. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1973. She was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1998 and as a Recorder in 2000.
