The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are inviting applications from suitably experienced individuals to be members of their Committees and Grants Assessment Panels (GAP).
This is an opportunity to work with other experienced people from across the academic, public, private and third sectors to help ensure the ESRC funds high-quality research, research infrastructure, and postgraduate training, whilst working to maximise the impact of the range of activities the ESRC supports.
The Committees lead key aspects of the ESRC's corporate strategy and oversee the development of our research, methods and infrastructure, and training investments. They work together to deliver the ESRC’s priorities with an emphasis on delivering excellent social science research with scientific, societal and economic impact.
The role of the Grants Assessment Panels (GAPs) is to assess applications submitted under the range of ESRC’s responsive mode schemes and to make funding recommendations according to procedures and criteria approved and overseen by ESRC’s Committees.
