Research Councils UK is pleased to welcome Dr Steven Hill as the new Head of the RCUK Secretariat.
He joins RCUK from the Science Directorate of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), where he led a team supporting Defra’s Chief Scientific Advisor. Prior to this, he worked on science policy on GM crops for Defra.
Dr Hill said, "I am delighted to be appointed as Head of the RCUK Secretariat. I have a strong personal commitment to the work of the Research Councils, and I am looking forward to helping the Councils work together to deliver their goals."
