UK International Fellowship Association (UKIFA) e-survey: deadline extended

11 June 2009

Research Councils UK, in collaboration with the British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society, is asking current and former research Fellows to participate in an e-survey about the new UK International Fellowship Association (UKIFA).

The deadline for completing this survey has been extended until the 30th of June. We have already received a great response and want to get a wide range of feedback so if you have not already completed this survey then please follow the link at the bottom of the page.

UKIFA is being developed in response to a recommendation by the Global Science and Innovation Forum (GSIF) to encourage and promote an alumni network of researchers. The network will be open to international researchers who have been working in the UK and is intended to ensure that potentially valuable collaborative relationships are not lost, by helping researchers to keep in touch.

UKIFA aims to:

  • provide access to an international network of excellent researchers;
  • encourage international research collaboration;
  • allow members to share information and experiences;
  • provide information about UK research and funding.

A dedicated website will be set up to promote these aims. This survey is designed to find out the needs and requirements of the Fellowship community and how a web-based association can support this.

If you have already completed this survey then thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think. The results will be posted on the RCUK website in July.

Completing the questionnaire

This questionnaire is composed of a series of open and closed questions and should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey by 30 June 2009.

The survey can be accessed at: http://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/epsrc/ukifa_survey

If you have any queries regarding the completion of the e-survey, please contact Sarah Townsend.
