Senior District Judge (Chief Magistrate) Appointment

HM The Queen has appointed Howard Charles Fraser Riddle to be the Senior District Judge (Chief Magistrate) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke QC MP, with effect from Monday 15 November 2010.

Notes to editors

Howard Charles Fraser Riddle, aged 63, will be known as Judge Riddle, Senior District Judge (Chief Magistrate). He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978, was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1993 and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 1995.
