The work of Research Councils UK

As publicly-funded bodies, the Research Councils are held accountable to Parliament for their investments in research. The Research Councils have completed a cycle of sessions as part of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee’s rolling programme of scrutiny of the Councils. The RCUK partnership was itself scrutinised in Spring 2005, with the Committee report published in March. The Government Response to that report, incorporating views from RCUK was published in June 2005.
