Vitae Researcher Development Conference

The second annual Vitae researcher conference launches today, 8th September, at the University of Warwick. With over 400 participants, this two day event is the largest event in the UK for people with a commitment to the personal and professional development of researchers.

With over 50 workshops and 20 fringe sessions, some of the highlights of this years conference include:

  • Launch of the Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS) 2009 report
  • The results of a new report looking at the Rugby Team Impact Framework
  • Announcement of the projects funded by Vitae innovate
  • National findings of The Higher Education Academy Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2009

Professor Ian Diamond, Chair of Research Councils UK commented: “I am delighted that the research councils funding of and support for Vitae helps to bring together a real community of those committed to the training and development of the next generation of researchers.
