Response to advisory panel on judicial diversity report

The independent Advisory Panel on Judicial Diversity, chaired by Baroness Neuberger, has published a report on judicial diversity today.

Commenting on the report the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge, said:

“I am immensely grateful to Baroness Neuberger and the Advisory Panel on Judicial Diversity for the thorough and wide-ranging report they have published today. The Panel’s recommendations represent a very carefully considered series of proposals which, taken together, will make a significant contribution to improving the diversity of the judiciary. I therefore welcome the Report with warm enthusiasm.”
