Commercial Court users committee set up working group

Following last month’s Commercial Court Symposium, the Commercial Court Users Committee has decided to set up a working group. Its terms of reference will be ‘to make proposals for the improvement of the procedures and practices of the Commercial Court’.

The working group will look at suggestions for the amendment of the Admiralty and Commercial Court Guide and proposals on the stricter implementation of the current arrangements.

The Chairman of the new working group will be Mr Justice Aikens and its members will include Mrs Justice Gloster, Robin Knowles QC, Chairman of the Commercial Bar Association, Alec Haydon, Alison Padfield, Simon Davis, Graham Huntley and Stephen Pearson.

    Simon Davis of Clifford Chance is the President of the London
    Solicitors Litigation Association.
    Graham Huntley of Lovells is the former President of the London

    Stephen Pearson is the Head of Group Litigation with Royal Bank of Scotland.
