LU Film Office Student/Non-professional permit application

All fields are mandatory.

Please note this permit is only a permit to film or photograph. It does not allow you to publish or broadcast your photographs or films anywhere externally, including on the internet or in exhibitions.

If you wish to broadcast your material then all relevant material or footage must be submitted to the LU Film Office for approval. Licence to Publish contracts start at £150.

  1. 1.All applications must be accompanied by a script and/or synopsis of the project. After sending this form you will be contacted by email and asked to forward us these documents. These must be Word or PDF documents and less less than 2MB in size.
  2. 2.You must also send us a current policy of insurance, providing cover for death and/or personal injury to any person and loss of, or damage to, any property.

Permit Details
  1. Please give us a brief overview of the project and include details such as:
    How the tube will appear (visual/audio-visual/still)
    What station/s will be used and why
    How the footage fits into the narrative
  2. Please enter a brief description of what the footage/images will be used for
  3. - Filming and photography will only be considered during the off-peak period (Monday to Friday 10:00 - 15:30). These times are not applicable at weekends.
  4. List all stations and any line you wish to shoot on
  5. List the types of shots you require eg:
    Outside station entrance
    Tube train leaving station
    Passengers alighting to plaform
  6. Please be aware that flash photography or additional lighting is not permitted on any LU platform and tripods are permitted at the Station Supervisor's discretion on the day
