Diversity speech: South East Circuit

Speech by Mr Justice Fulford

20/01/2009

Mr Justice Fulford gave a personal perspective on the battle for minority rights in the legal professions:

“For me, the personal battle, as part of a broader involvement with the whole issue of discrimination, has concerned the particular fate of lesbians and gay men. Could you have a decent career in law whilst being honest and, like a new, more humble kind of debutant, by “coming out” in the robing rooms of England and Wales?”
