Sir Mark Potter looked at changes arising from the new Public Law Outline, and at research undertaken by Cardiff University which called for children involved in the family courts system to have access to an adult “who can establish a positive trusting relationship with them; a neutral person who explains things clearly and checks that it is properly understood; a person who keeps the child informed as the vagaries of the litigation develop”.
