Appointment of Chancery Supervising Judge for Wales, Western & Midland Circuits

The Honourable Mr Justice Kitchin is to be appointed as the Chancery Supervising Judge for the Wales, Western and Midland Circuits with effect from 1 October 2009.

He will succeed the Honourable Mr Justice Lewison.

1. Mr Justice (David) Kitchin (54) was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1977 and has been a Bencher since 2003. He took silk in 1994 and was a Deputy High Court Judge from 2001 until his appointment as a Judge of the High Court, Chancery Division, in 2005.
