Lord Justice Jackson has announced that the formal publication date for the final report of his Review of Civil Litigation Costs will be Thursday 14 January 2010.
Lord Justice Jackson will complete his report and provide an advance copy to the Master of the Rolls (who commissioned the report) by 31 December 2009, as he undertook to do.
Lord Justice Jackson said:
"I have announced the publication date as there have been many queries relating to when it was going to be. Although I am fulfilling my commitment to deliver a copy to the Master of the Rolls at the end of this calendar year, there obviously needs to be a short period to allow copies to be professionally printed and ready for distribution.
“I have also taken into account the time of year, and the fact that many of those interested in reading and responding to the final report would be taking seasonal breaks early in the New Year."
The report will be published by TSO, and will also be available electronically on the judicial website on 14 January 2010.
