Appointment of Family Division Liaison Judges

The President of the Family Division, the Right Honourable Sir Mark Potter, has appointed the following Judges as Family Division Liaison Judges for the following Regions:

The London and South East Region - The Honourable Mr Justice Hedley will succeed the Honourable Mr Justice Munby with effect from 1 April 2007, for an initial period of 18 months

The London and South East Region - The Honourable Mrs Justice Macur DBE will succeed the Honourable Mrs Justice Hogg DBE with effect from 1 January 2007

The Wales Region - The Honourable Mr Justice Roderic Wood will succeed the Honourable Mr Justice Hedley with effect from 1 April 2007

Notes for Editors

Mr Justice (Sir Mark) Hedley, 60, was called to the Bar, Grays Inn, in 1969. He was appointed a Recorder in 1988 and became a Circuit Judge in 1992. He has been a Justice of the High Court, assigned to the Family Division, since January 2002.

Mr Justice (Sir Roderic) Wood, 55, was called to the Bar, Middle Temple, in 1974 and took Silk in 1993. He was appointed a Recorder in 1997 and became a Circuit Judge in 2002. He has been a Justice of the High Court, assigned to the Family Division, since January 2004.

Mrs Justice (Dame Julia) Macur, 49, was called to the Bar, Lincoln’s Inn, in 1979 and took Silk in 1998. She was appointed a Recorder in 1998 and has been a Justice of the High Court, assigned to the Family Division, since October 2005.
