Recruitment and appointment of ESRC committee and panel members 2011

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are inviting applications from suitably experienced persons to be members of their Committees and Panels.

ESRC Committees lead key aspects of corporate strategy and oversee the development of research and training investments. They work together to deliver the ESRC corporate objectives with an emphasis on delivering excellent social science with scientific, societal and economic impacts. The four committees seeking members are:

  • Evaluation Committee
  • Methods and Infrastructure Committee
  • Research Committee
  • Training and Skills Committee

The ESRC are also inviting applications for Grant Assessment Panel (GAPs) members in the following disciplinary areas:

  • Cognitive psychology
  • Sociology
  • Social anthropology
  • Macro-economics

The role of the GAPs is to assess applications submitted under responsive mode schemes and make funding recommendations to ESRC according to procedures and criteria approved and overseen by the ESRC Committees.
