Help support students going through Clearing

If you’ve got students going through Clearing, you can help them by explaining what they need to do to get paid correctly and as quickly as possible.

If they’ve already applied for student finance they must let us know as soon as possible if any of the following has changed:

Their course

Their university or college

They can update their details online. Encourage them to log into their account at and go to Your Account > Change your application > University/college course

If they haven’t applied for student finance they should apply online now at

They might not get all their student finance in time for the start of their course but we’ll make an initial assessment so they get some money as close to the start of their course as possible.
