On Tuesday 10 February, Dame Carol Black and Earl Howe gave keynote addresses at the staff health and wellbeing conference, jointly hosted by the Health Innovation Network and King’s Health Partners at the Kia Oval in London. Last year King’s Health Partners became the first Academic Health Sciences Centre to sign up to the Responsibility Deal.
In his speech, Earl Howe highlighted the importance of having parity between mental and physical health, the good work we are doing on the health at work network and urged delegates to help safeguard their employees’ wellbeing by signing up to the Responsibility Deal.
Dame Carol focused on the wider health and wellbeing agenda and how NHS staff wellbeing and engagement directly impacts on patient care.
There were also presentations on King’s Health Partners’ alcohol and tobacco strategies, both of which are relevant to our pledges.
