The TimPix project allows you and your students to conduct authentic scientific research into the radiation astronauts – including Tim Peake – experience while on board the International Space Station. TimPix is part of the CERN@school programme and uses detectors developed at CERN and used in the Large Hadron Collider. This CPD workshop for teachers will introduce the project, explore the science of radiation measurement and space travel, and explain how you can get involved in research that may well help us get to Mars and beyond!
This event is kindly supported by the UK Space Agency and the Institute for Research in Schools.
