City Centre, Bratislava

As designs become more detailed priorities are developed for short, medium and long term implementation. These can be formalised into an Action Plan or form part of the revised Project Executive Plan. Prepare detailed design guidance in the form of design guides, design codes or development briefs.

  • Design guides establish the core principles and set out detailed guidelines or performance criteria
  • Design codes set out requirements for the dimensioning of blocks and plots, streets, squares, buildings, and access etc
  • Development briefs combine relevant planning policies and urban design parameters.

Detailed designs are also influenced by delivery mechanisms and implementation programmes. These will be confirmed by the management of public areas, the adoption and maintenance of streets etc
