Submitting an application

Those wanting to use the Indicator Assurance Service are asked to complete a detailed  word icon application form [78kb]

The application form is designed to provide the necessary information needed for the end to end appraisal process and consists of the following seven sections:

  1. Introduction / Overview
  2. Rationale
  3. Data
  4. Construction
  5. Interpretation
  6. Risks and usefulness
  7. Additional Information

The first six of these sections correspond directly to a criterion used by the service to assess the quality of the indicator. pdf icon Guidance on how to complete the form [275kb] is available to support applicants.

It is important that applications are as complete as possible and can be read as a stand-alone pieces of information, as missing or inconsistent information can lengthen the appraisal process.

Information provided will also be used to populate the specification held in the National Library of Quality Assured Indicators if the indicator is assessed as suitable for inclusion.
