Disease Prevention, Horse Passports and Pet Travel Schemes content plans published

Plans for simplified guidance on Pet travel schemes, Horse passports, and Disease prevention and control are now available.

The plan outlines proposed content for the new guidance.  There are also lists of existing guidance with recommendations for what should happen to this guidance when Defra’s agencies’ web content is moved to GOV.UK.

These plans will be available for comment until 11 February 2015.

Other plans are still open for comment: specific food product labelling – products containing meat, specific food product labelling – fish, specific food product labelling – honey, specific food product labelling – jamorganic foodorganic farming and  Salmonella (Control Programme).

We are particularly keen to hear your views on:

- whether we have covered all the information that is needed from government
– working with others to provide good practice advice
– our plans on what is happening to existing guidance

Further plans will be uploaded in the forthcoming weeks.
