2.1.i. Provide funding and a training offer to support the creation of an additional 75,000 adult apprenticeship places by 2014-15 (relative to the level of spending inherited from the previous Government)
3.14.v. Establish the Business Bank as an independent public body following state aid approval
3.14.viii. Continue to make awards to SMEs under the Investment Programme Promote and support Global Entrepreneurship Week

Actions to be completed this month

1.1.ii. Conduct assessment of REF submissions
5.3.v. Repeal and reform regulations, as announced following Red Tape Challenge reviews, so that scheduled changes are implemented
5.5.i. Complete the Focus on Enforcement programme and, with other departments, ensure implementation of its reforms, as detailed on the Focus on Enforcement web site
5.5.ii. Implement the package of reforms announced at the Autumn Statement 2012 to address systematic problems in regulatory enforcement including; consulting on a legislative duty for non-economic regulators to have regard to growth; developing public scrutiny of the implications of changes in policy and practice planned by regulators and refreshing the regulators compliance code
5.7.i. Work with EU partners to set a target for reducing the overall burden of EU regulation by the end of 2014
1.2.iii. Establish a Strategic Advisory Board to implement a Quantum Technologies (QT) Programme with key partners across government, academia and industry
3.15.i. Establish and award a £10m development fund to pilot driverless cars, working with the Department for Transport
1.4.i. Develop and publish a Science and Innovation Strategy for Autumn Statement 2014
3.7.vii. Promote and support Small Business Saturday
